What is the date and location of the conference?
The conference starts on September 20th with the opening ceremony in Sarajevo City Hall - Vijećnica. Guest arrival is expected from 17:00. The working program of the conference takes place from September 21st to September 22nd at Hotel Novotel Bristol, Sarajevo, starting from 09:00. How do I register for the conference?
The Registration tab is available on our website and takes you to an Eventbrite form where you can secure your registration. Upon completing your registration, you will receive your e-tickets via Eventbrite at the email address provided. However, our organizing team must still validate your attendance.
Kindly wait for an additional email from our team confirming your attendance. You can use your tickets to attend the conference only after receiving this confirmation email. Please be aware that the ticket itself is not a confirmation of attendance.
Is there a registration deadline?
The registration deadline is September 1st, but the guest number is limited. We encourage you to fill out the registration form as soon as possible.
What is the conference's theme or main focus?
The theme of this year's event is European Perspectives on Security Challenges. The European security landscape is undergoing significant transformations due to geopolitical shifts, technological advancements, and evolving threats. From the resurgence of Russia as a strategic adversary to the volatile changes in the Middle East, Europe finds itself in a pressing need for security redefined. The Western Balkans, with its unique historical and geopolitical context, remains a focal point for security concerns, including issues of regional stability, external influence, and socio-political dynamics - but also, an important constructive element on building holistic solutions.
The Sarajevo Security Conference is positioned as the platform for addressing these multifaceted challenges. Initiated as a response to the growing need for comprehensive and collaborative security dialogue from inside Europe but outside of the European Union, the conference brings together thought leaders and decision-makers to explore strategic responses to current and emerging threats. By focusing on European and regional security issues, the conference aims to contribute to a more stable and secure Europe.

Is there a registration fee?
There is no registration fee for the Conference. However, the Organizing Team does not cover travel or accommodation expenses for participants of the event, with the exception of speakers and panelists.
What is the cost of attending the conference?
Participants traveling to the conference are expected to cover their travel and accommodation expenses.
Is this event invitation only?
The event registrations are open to all and are evaluated at the organizers' discretion. All guests will receive a notification of their registration status no later than September 5th. Should you require the information on the status of your registration before that, to book your accommodation and travel – please contact us via projectmanager@sarajevosecurityconference.com and we will give you an update regarding your application status. Guests that are not on the participants list will not be allowed to attend.
Are accreditations required for this conference?
Accreditations are required for journalists reporting from the Conference. Guests that are not on the participants list will not be allowed to attend.
Where can I pick up my conference badge and materials?
Conference badges will be handed out to all participants that were either directly invited or received an approval of their registration at the opening ceremony in the Sarajevo City Hall.
Conference materials will be handed out for both days of the working program at the Hotel Novotel Bristol.
Are meals included in the conference registration?
The organizers provide a cocktail reception for all guests of the opening ceremony, as well as a lunch at Hotel Novotel Bristol during the working program of the conference.
How can I see the schedule of sessions and workshops?
A detailed agenda will be provided to all confirmed participants via email no later than September 15th.
