The NewLines Institute for Strategy and Policy is proud to announce the 4th edition of the Sarajevo Security Conference, taking place from September 4th–6th, 2026. This premier forum is held under the distinguished patronage of the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina and is made possible through the vital support of NATO HQ Sarajevo, the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, and the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
As a leading gathering in the region, the conference serves as a critical bridge between the worlds of policy, security, and global commerce. It provides an exclusive platform connecting elite think tank researchers, business leaders, defense officials, and intelligence experts, facilitating the high-level collaboration necessary to address the complex security challenges facing Central, Eastern, and South Eastern Europe.
The 2026 edition marks a significant milestone in our mission to fortify regional resilience. This year, the program places a primary focus on the future of European security, the integration of Artificial Intelligence in modern defense, and the rising importance of cognitive warfare. By expanding our strategic perspectives and including esteemed participants from the defense industry, the conference underscores Sarajevo’s role as a vital crossroads for trans-regional dialogue and Euro-Atlantic stability.
The proceedings will begin on September 4th with an illustrious opening ceremony and VIP panel held at the historic Sarajevo City Hall (Vijećnica), a symbol of the city’s resilience and heritage.
On September 5th, the focus shifts to the Army Hall (Dom Armije) for a dedicated Industry Day. This specialized track provides defense, technology, and AI companies with a unique opportunity to present their corporations and showcase their latest defense products — ranging from unmanned systems to digital defense solutions — to an audience of key decision-makers. The final substantive sessions of Day 3rd will also take place at the Army Hall, providing a focused environment for rigorous analysis and strategic networking.
Given the sensitive nature of the discussions and the high level of the participants, the Sarajevo Security Conference is a strictly by-invitation-only event. To ensure the highest standards of safety and integrity, all attendees undergo rigorous security proceedings and vetting conducted by Bosnia’s intelligence services, the Federal Police, and NATO security experts.
For those wishing to engage with this exclusive forum, all participation inquiries must be addressed to:

We look forward to welcoming our vetted guests this September for three days of high-level engagement and the development of actionable solutions for a more secure and technologically advanced future.
